Runway 2018: DIVERGE
Runway 2018: DIVERGE was an exposition that pushed barriers and boundaries by showcasing the talents of the juniors and seniors in the Apparel Design and Merchandising program at San Francisco State University. The show illustrated the diversity and creativity of our students through original and innovative design.
For this event, I took up multiple roles in that exemplified my skills in graphic design, digital marketing, and leadership management. For pre-show marketing, I designed the poster art, email campaigns, and website. Not only was I the Web Designer, but I also managed the web content.
With leadership management, I was the Senior Collection Manager, Press/Media Manager, and Co-Backstage Manager.
THE PREP + PROCESS
WEBSITE DESIGN X CONTENT CREATION
Using Wix hosting web platform, I designed a website that visually paralleled with the event's artwork for a cohesive brand.
The web design was primarily designed around the color blocking/usage of bold colors from the poster and an easy user-interface (geared toward our target market).
Created three different email campaigns for information updates and overall promote traffic to the website.
Email Campaign Analytics
In one day the email campaign informed 203 people, and brought 24 people to the website.
